Make an Appointment in Advance

By making an appointment at least two weeks ahead of time, you’ll get the best appointment for your availability, knowing that you’ll have enough time to discuss all your dental needs with the dentist on the day. If you have anything specific you want to discuss, mention it when booking so that the dentist can be aware. 

Be Prepared with Questions

Like any appointment, if you have questions or concerns about your teeth, your gums or oral health in general, write them down and bring them along to your appointment. Your dentist will be more than happy to discuss these questions and concerns with you during your appointment. 

Bring Relevant Paperwork and Documents

If you have any paperwork or documents that relate to your appointment or any concerns you have, make sure you bring them along. This could be past medical history, past results or referrals from other medical practitioners.  If you have private health insurance, make sure you bring that information along as well to assist with faster processing. 

Know What Your Insurance Covers

If you do have private health insurance, it is important to know what services your health insurer covers. Before scheduling your appointment, check with your provider to make sure they cover the type of service you need at Road Dental in Logan. Understand Payment Options Available

We know that sometimes you need to look after your health even though it doesn’t fit into your budget. Make sure you ask our friendly team about any payment plans and discounts that are available to offset your costs when booking your appointment. Arrive Early for Appointments

Arriving early for your appointment is really important. We ask our patients to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to any scheduled visits so that there is enough time to fill out paperwork and update details without delaying the start of your treatment or appointment. By turning up prior to your appointment, it also allows us to help keep the appointments of other patients on time.  

Follow The Aftercare Instructions

Depending on the treatment you have done here at Road Dental, our dentists will provide advice on how best to care for your teeth, gums and overall oral health following each procedure. This may include brushing techniques, recommended products, food and drink recommendations (and those to stay away from), and any time you may need off from work or resting. It is important to listen to these instructions to ensure that you don’t end up needing emergency dental treatment. 

Keep a Log of Appointments

Not a lot of people do this but it is an important one, particularly if you ever move away from the Logan region, or need to see a dentist while on holidays. Utilising your phone’s notes section, make notes for yourself after each appointment including what was discussed, what treatment or services you had done and any follow-up visits that you may need. If you are unable to keep these on your phone, sending an email to yourself is a great idea – that way you can access the notes wherever you are. 

Respect the Staff 

Like anywhere, we hope that you will be polite in interaction with all our staff members, including our reception team, our dental hygienists and of course our dentists.
